David Blue — Sun, 28 Sep 2025 22:00:00 GMT

The last half of Icelandair 470 in the Boeing 737 MAX 8, arriving at London Gatwick (EGKK) for the Kenya Airways Fly In.

(No, I wasn't on time, nor was I in the right aircraft or flying the right airframe. Sorry.)

Voicemail Hell 2024 (Visualized)

David Blue — Sat, 20 Apr 2024 12:55:35 GMT

Once again, I gathered the cacophony of unwanted spam voicemail messages I've been left over the past 18 months or so and layered them on top of one another.

Let's call this a work-in-progress draft, for now... Definitely not as interesting as the last one.

BreakTime 3025's Bespoke Car Wash Experience

David Blue — Tue, 22 Aug 2023 17:16:40 GMT

Largely to play with Final Cut Pro for iPad, I decided to try the car wash run by - and directly adjacent to - the gas station in which I've been working for the past few months. It shall be the one and only time my Golf GTI ever experiences such a thing.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME

...and by that I mean, if you care about the future of your car's exterior finish at all, never use an automatic car wash, even one so meek as ours.

Visit https://tweetdeck.twitter.com and sign in.
Click or tap the ... More button in the left sidebar.
Click or tap "Leave TweetDeck Preview."
Follow the steps to either temporarily or "permanently" opt out of "the new TweetDeck."

Too Loud - Keychron K2

David Blue — Fri, 12 May 2023 11:01:19 GMT

Having broken [my beloved Varmilo VA108M] (which I absolutely intend to fix one day in the near future, FYI,) months ago and [just last week] completely totaled the period (.) key on my Absurdly Overpriced Toilet Professional iPad Keyboarding Apparatus, I decided to buy [an on-sale variant of Keychron's K2] with the loudest switches (the blue ones) available, assuming that surely no keyboard could be truly, disruptively loud.

I was very wrong.

Backup/Export Twitter Lists with TweetDeck

My best attempt at a succinct guide on using TweetDeck's List "Export" feature to save a list of the users in your ... Lists.

If you're already logged in to Twitter on the web, visiting this URL should automatically land you in a logged in TweetDeck session: https://tweetdeck.twitter.com

WWDC 2022 Keynote WITH EXCLUSIVE DAVID BLUE LIVE COMMENTARY

David Blue — Mon, 06 Jun 2022 20:47:04 GMT

For this year's rich fruit prime keynote, I thought I thought I'd start up a Twitter Space since nobody'd been joining any of the others I'd done for like a year. The one person who did join and graciously indulge me about consumer healthcare tech was definitely more interesting than the entirety of this presentation.

OBSIDIAN SMACKDOWN: Electron is a FALSE IDOL

David Blue — Sat, 21 May 2022 13:41:10 GMT

Honestly I’m not sure if I actually communicated any coherent argument in this video, looking back, but I really just wanted to make sure I got myself in my new Drafts shirt and PJs taunting Obsidian users with violence because it’s kinda funny.

One of these days, though, I might actually finish this thing: https://github.com/extratone/bilge/issues/301
